Accommodations

Field Courses: Accommodations at Forest Lodge in 2015 will be basic. For those students who will be staying on the estate, primitive camping will be available. A limited number of 4-person wall tents may be available. Portable toilets will be available at the camping area. Campers will have access to flush toilets and showers at a nearby lodge where lectures may be held.

For students not wishing to camp lodge rooms are available. Go here to make arrangements.

Campus Courses: Students will be housed in double occupancy dorm rooms for campus courses and workshops.

Meals

While on the Northland Campus meals will be taken at Northland College cafeteria. Go here for more information.  Courses and workshops involving field trips may take lunch in the field.

For field courses, we expect that evening meals will be taken in a dining hall; however, breakfast and lunch may be in the field.

Working Conditions

Please note that many of these courses and workshops are field-oriented. Students will be expected to be able to walk on uneven ground and in or around shallow water. Students may be working in and around water and stepping on/off boats. Working conditions, while beautiful and satisfying, may be uncomfortable at times. Students will be expected to work in rain and under  summertime conditions. If you have questions about course conditions, please contact 3 Sigma.
